"Ha me tou" One of the Traditional Chinese hood styles, rather unflattering the name translates to mean "Toad Head". The pattern on the back flap is cut the pattern of an old Chinese coin, this style of hood was used by the Emperors and Dukes of ancient China. Recent finds have unearthed a Chinese Dukes tomb buried some 800 years ago and found one of these hoods amongst his belongings buried with him. Non Western sizes so more a hood for the collection. |
